An investigation into sources and distributions of iron, aluminum, and nutrients in Glacier Bay, Alaska

Iron in seawater is biologically significant for its contribution to primary productivity. This study showed a high livel of iron in Glacier Bay, as well as higher values for the metal in water beneath the mixed layer. This suggests that sediments are the source for iron in the bay.
