The South of the Tyumen Region, located in the southern taiga, portage and forest-steppe of the West Siberian plain, has a rich species composition of plants. Also, its connecting position between the Urals and Central Siberia is favorable for the migration of European plants to the East and the Siberian species in the Urals and West. Although the flora of the South has a long history of study associated with the value of the Tobolsk province (which includes the South of the region) in the organization of expeditions for the study of the biota of Siberia, but due to the vast territory of the region it was insufficiently studied. This was confirmed during the expeditions in the South region it by the employees of the Tobolsk complex scientific station to collect the materials for the second edition of the red book of the Tyumen Region. Юг Тюменской области, располагающийся в южной тайге, подтайге и лесостепи Западносибирской равнины, отличается богатым видовым составом растений. Кроме этого, его связующее положение между Уралом и Средней Сибирью благоприятно для миграции европейских растений на восток и сибирских видов на Урал и западнее. Хотя флора юга имеет длительную историю изучения, связанную со значением Тобольской губернии (куда входил и юг области) в организации экспедиций по изучению биоты Сибири, но вследствие обширной территории региона изучена недостаточно. Это было подтверждено в ходе экспедиционных поездок по югу области для сбора материалов ко второму изданию Красной книги Тюменской области, а также предыдущими нашими исследованиями.
