The case study is used as a window into the way the above mentioned topics are considered within the archival community. Alternative methods of thought are offered in relation to these matters in an attempt to spur discussion as a means of dealing with reappraisal, deaccessioning, and accountability, with the goal of avoiding a reoccurrence of an incident like that of the Paper Caper.
