Scientists have used a 1,000 year old ice core from Antarctica to find out just how many mega droughts happened in South Eastern Australia in the last millennium.Dr Tessa Vance from the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre in Hobart has told Felicity Ogilvie that the information from the ice cores will help scientists to plan for future droughts.
