This field is located in the central part of the Pechora Sea. The ice cover in the Dolginskoye field area is formed in September and remains until July, which seriously complicates the development process. Application of subsea production systems in such an environment enables all-year production from the field substantially reducing the risk of operations in adverse climatic conditions. One of the challenging problem is the installation process. What kind of vessels is required for the Dolginskoe area environment? Different types of vessels have been reviewed when trying to answer this question. It is known that heave is most important for vertical operations. Therefore, the heave periods are calculated and compared with the wave periods to avoid the resonance. Moreover, the load on the gravity base structure is one of the key factors in the conceptual analysis. What type of load will prevail in this environmental condition? Two types of gravity base structures were considered in this study: (1) a monopod platform with vertical walls and (2) a platform with sloped walls. For calculations, the Monte Carlo method was implemented in the MATLAB software. Different concepts of development and evaluation of reliability and quality (issues of HSE) of each of the concepts and cost-effectiveness were considered.
