Rodne uloge ne prestaju biti relevantna tema u društvenim znanostima već dugi niz godina. Pojmovi spola i roda, koji su prije bili smatrani sinonimnima, a ponekad i sada, bacaju svjetlo na temeljne razlike koje postoje između muškaraca i žena. U biologiji su varijable koje omogućuju razlikovanje spolova prikazane na jasan i koncizan način. Međutim, u društvenom svijetu razlike između muškaraca i žena proizvode sami članovi društva, te su kao rezultat toga više apstraktne. Djeca uče vlastite rodne uloge, kao i uloge drugih ljudi, kroz proces socijalizacije koji se odvija kroz različite kanale. To dovodi do formiranja njihovih vlastitih jedinstvenih rodnih identiteta. Kako bi se istražili stavovi prema rodnim ulogama u manjem mjestu koje je inače sklonije tradicionalnijim pogledima na svijet, provedeno je istraživanje na stanovnicima Otoka u blizini Sinja. Online anketa provedena je u rujnu 2022. godine, a u njoj je sudjelovalo 126 ljudi. Gender roles have not stopped being a relevant topic in social science for many years. The concepts of sex and gender, that used to be considered synonyms, and sometimes still are considered that, shed light on the fundamental differences that exist between men and women. In biology, the variables that make it possible to differentiate the sexes are presented in a clear and concise way. However, in the social world, the differences between men and women are produced by the members of society themselves, and as a result are more abstract. Children learn their own gender roles, as well as the roles of other people, through the process of socialization that takes place through various channels. This leads to the formation of their own unique gender identities. In order to explore attitudes towards gender roles in a smaller area that is normally more inclined to traditional views of the world, a survey was conducted on the residents of Otok located near Sinj. The online survey was conducted in September 2022 with 126 participants.
