This paper describes 3D printing throughout history, then explains the most used technologies and methods nowadays and elaborates the future of 3D printing itself. It describes the complete process of 3D printing through each of the three technologies: Fused Deposition Model, Selective Laser Sintering and Stereolithography, and very simply explains the transfer of the initial drawing into a code which every 3D printer understands.
