The analysis focuses on the functioning of the lexical markers of the epoch in official business discourse. The aim of the study is to classify the vocabulary according to semantic and thematic criteria. Discursive and semantico-stylistic analyses are the most relevant methods used. The sample includes 150 personnel files of students from the archives of the 1930s-1940s. The article describes the personnel file as a hyper-genre, including core (mandatory) and peripheral (variable) genres. As a result of the study, using the method of continuous sampling, the author singles out three semantic groups of the lexical markers of the epoch: historicisms, politicisms and ideologemes, highlighting the most typical subgroups in each group. Ideologemes are divided into ideologemes-statuses, ideologemes-descriptors, ideologemes-onyms. Historicisms include not only obsolete common and proper nominations, but also so-called stylistic historicisms (archaic graphic designations, metaphors that have come out of use, etc.). Semantic analysis confirms the absence of rigid boundaries between the groups of keywords of a certain epoch. To illustrate these positions, the article provides a semantico-stylistic and discursive analysis of three key ideologemes: Stalin, Komsomol, and comrade. The article describes the dual functioning of the anthroponym Stalin depending on the framework of the ideologemes and the communicative situation (direct or indirect communication). The specificity of functioning of the ideologemes and politicisms consists in using these language units as tools of manipulation and “genre reformatting” in the framework of official business discourse and as signals of awareness of discursive usage. The specificity of the lexical markers of the epoch indicates that the research material is important for the reconstruction ...
