Ovaj rad opisuje strategije prijevoda čije konkretno nazivlje još nije uspostavljeno u hrvatskom jeziku. Cilj rada je dati čitatelju kratki uvid u razvoj hrvatskog pomorskog nazivlja, ukratko navesti strategije koje se koriste za prevođenje kulturoloških pojmova kako bi se prikazao utjecaj kulture na sami jezik. Zatim opisati strategije koje se koriste tokom prevođenja formalnih tekstova, tj. onih u polju pomorskog prava u međunarodnom transportu, te se analizom danih tekstova pomoću programa MonoConc Easy donosi zaključak o učestalost korištenja spomenutih strategija.
