U radu se analiziraju zalihe koje su dio imovine poduzeća. Zalihe se koriste kao sirovina ili materijali za proizvodnju proizvoda. Poduzetnici u svom poduzeću planiraju unaprijed zalihe namijenjene za prodaju ili pak one koje koriste za vlastite potrebe. Jako je važno i smanjiti troškove zaliha koliko je moguće i istovremeno zadržati razinu usluge koju zahtijevaju kupci, kako ni poduzeće ni kupci u jednom trenutku ne bi ostali bez svojih proizvoda. U radu su proučene znanstvenim člancima, knjigama te propisima takve zalihe, standardi i načela te računovodstvene politike i procjene. Kroz praktičan primjer Trgovačkog obrta Gastrodiskont P&J prikazali su se i sami računi i kalkulacije koje trgovački obrt koristi u svom poslovanju. The paper analyzes the inventories that are part of the company's assets. Production supplies are a part of company assets and they are used as a material or resource for item production. They are intended for selling and can be used in personal use. It is of the utmost importance to reduce production cost while maintaining a high quality of service which is being demanded by the customers. This will ensure that both the company and its customers don't run out of products or in-general business. Topic of this graduation paper will show the use of accounting, standards used in it and principles, accounting policies, doctrines and evaluations. Using example of 'Trgovački obrt Gastrodiskont P&J' will show the companies accounts and calculations said company uses in its management.
