Summary: | 449Martinez June 12, 1914Houghton Mifflin Company:[in margin: illegible]Dear Sirs:The Alaska book will be only notes of travel. There will probably be several volumes to be included in the autobiography series. I have a large number of sketches & photographs for illustrations. Mr Gleason will not be likely to obtain many that would be required, as he will not be able in a single season to trace my canoe tracks. I made seven trips in Alaska, one of them in the Arctic regions. I hope to finish the volume in hand this year. Have been grippe sick all last winter & spring & of course making slow stupid progress. Still I hope the thing may be readable.26 Faithfully Yours, John Muir[in margin: [illegible]6] |
