Fine weather, lovely color on water. 2nd day. Aug 23. 100 showers, now on the right, now left, now ahead, now behind; luminous, silvery, between patches of sunlight illuminating forests; drifting clds lighter than thistle down, the gentlest touch of nature. Marvellous growth of forest on sheer mtns, to top. Glaciated, unchanged. Irish moss?
