Business seems to move on in Portage as usual although some think there is a falling off.[3]David and Ette are well, they have given up housekeeping but they still have rooms in their own house I expect John has got home from his trip to Alaska, he has got a wood house made near the 'Muir Glacier' with a hollow rock for a chimney and while he was there a part of gentlemen from the east arrived and they told him they had brought instruments with them to measure the Glacier, perhaps you have seen this measurement of it in the newspapers. https://scholarlycommons.pacific.edu/jmcl/38478/thumbnail.jpg |
