I hope to be in Martinez between Christmas and New Years, and if you can have it ready by that time I shall be under [many?] obligations. Dont forget to copy some of your glacier sketches, as many as you can spare, and some sketches of the plants also. I have heard nothing from my iapplication?] to go to Greenland but see by this mornings paper that Genl. Hagen says – [there?] [illegible] vessels will be sent.
