Especially flowering are the shores of the Peninsula & Kodiak & Unalaska. One of the most beautiful of the flowers & most effective in making rich purple masses is the Kamchatka dwarf rhododendron the stems are pistillate but the flowers are large (an inch long one & a half inches wide & covers acres & miles in royal purple. I wish I could tell you about these wild gardens writing seem so silly & [unimportant?]. In Prince WIlliams Sound we saw 11 glaciers of the first class discharging bergs In Yakutat & disenchantment 13 [illegible] 3 & in Glacier Bay 9. I think there are more in Prince Williams Sound. I want to go back & explore its many far reaching fiords & you should go too [illegible] what scenery is there & around St Elias I [illegible] the heart to try to pen sketch it. Come on out & let me tell you face to face, I do believe I would talk Mrs Sellers thin. I saw Keith a week ago. He said he had a pleasant vist & is in cheery state of mind. Remember me to Frank.
