I spent part of the summer in Alaska & in the Rocky Mountains about Banff, Laggan, & Glacier, making hurried trips. & it was well I did so for our good Mother Strentzel died two weeks after I got home. How great a gap this makes in our little family you will know.Now I'm trying some writing, have just sent off an article on forests etc. it touches on your favorite Mt Rainier, the Grand Colorado Canon etc. & may interest you It will probably appear in the November number of the Atlantic Monthly. There was another one in last Augusts number Now I'm trying a description of the Yellowstone Park, where I made your acquaintance. Then I want to do something on Alaska, possibly a book. a tough job but we're born to work & bother as well as enjoyment. How did you like Stickun?
