The mate of Dan Webster came aboard and gave us the particulars of the loss of the ship and adventurous journey southward among the natives. Aug. 16. Calm, and foggy at times, large masses of clean ice, white and blue and green, drifting or aground. Indians came off from Pt. Beltcher and Sunarwara as we passed.
