A fine stream near. [Lutkia], hedysarum, parnassia, Epilobium, bluebell, solidago Habenaria. Strawberry, (half grown berries.). Aretosstaphylos. Mertensia, Erigeron, Birch, willows. 4 grasses, etc the main flrs [flowers]. On way home discovered a fine group of monumental stump in washed out valley in mor [moraine], stratified wh [which] have suffered but little save battering of bowlders rolled forward 45 by moderate flood. bark on some, Menzies spruce 3 ft [foot] dia [diameter]. One standing astride old log showing at least 2 generations since mor [moraine] came to rest.
