Sivi vuk (Canis lupus, L.) najveći je pripadnik porodice pasa (Canidae). Pokazuje ogromnu ekološku fleksibilnost s obzirom na različita staništa sjeverne Zemljine polutke, od arktičke tundre do suhih područja Bliskog istoka. Socijalna je životinja koja cijeli svoj život provodi u čoporu – lovi, podiže potomstvo i brani svoj teritorij. Kao vrhunski predator ima vrlo važnu ulogu u očuvanju bioraznolikosti i ekosustava u kojem živi Grey wolf (Canis lupus, L.) is the largest member of the dog family (Canidae). It shows tremendous ecological flexibility given the different habitats of the northern hemisphere, from the Arctic tundra to the arid regions of the Middle East. It is a social animal that spends its entire life in a pack - hunting, raising offspring and defending its territory. As a top predator, it plays a very important role in conserving biodiversity and the ecosystem in which it lives.
