In this study, there were indications that the hydrogen production rate decreased as the pressure increased. However, plasma irradiation was successfully generated at high pressure, which is difficult to achieve when using the radio frequency plasma in-liquid method. Using emission spectrometer analysis and the Boltzmann plot method, the excitation temperature is found to increase as the gas pressure increases, whereas, it decreases as the argon flow rate increases. There are no waste greenhouse gases produced during the re-hydrating process since the methane hydrate is broken down into high-temperature hydrogen gas, methane gas, and water steam.
