A brief introduction aims to emphasise the link between these three stylistic instances (active on multiple linguistic levels: syntactic, semantic, and textual) and the thematic dimension of the marvellous. L’articolo è dedicato a tre caratteristiche fondamentali dello stile del romanzo di Stefano D’Arrigo Horcynus Orca (Mondadori, 1975): il rapporto tra la costruzione sintattica per addendi e la dilatazione semantica degli oggetti del discorso, la stasi tematica, e l’insieme di espedienti retorici finalizzati a concettualizzare i referenti, restringendone i contorni, o estendendoli tramite analogia. Una breve introduzione mira a sottolineare il legame che intercorre fra queste tre istanze stilistiche (attive su più livelli linguistici: sintattico, semantico, e testuale) e la dimensione tematica del meraviglioso.
