A historical event, internal to the society leads a group of Evenks that lives thanks to hunting and herding to modify a ritual of a main importance to them, by giving up the deposit of animal remains on aerial platforms on the edge of the encampments. These remains attract bear, the raids of which on the encampments took since three years quite big proportions, becoming a threat to the life of human beings and their herds. A member of the encampment, considered as a good hunter and a good herder, took the initiative to propose a modification that preserves the aim of the ritual: to ensure the reappearance of the game and preserve “luck” for hunting. The study of this unique case of a change issued from a historical event internal to the society, puts into light the importance of individual initiative in this acephalous society and the part of induction in the adaptation mechanism. Un événement historique, interne à la société a conduit un groupe d'Évenks qui vit de chasse et d'élevage à modifier un rituel d'une importance capitale à leurs yeux, en renonçant à déposer les restes des animaux chassés sur les plates-formes aériennes en bordure des campements. Ces restes attirent les ours, dont les incursions sur les campements ont pris depuis trois ans des proportions considérables, menaçant la vie des humains et des troupeaux. Un membre d'un campement, réputé bon chasseur et bon éleveur, a pris l'initiative de proposer une modification qui préserve l'enjeu du rituel : assurer la réapparition du gibier et préserver la « chance » à la chasse. L'étude de ce cas unique de changements dû à un événement historique interne à la société, révèle l'importance de l'initiative individuelle dans cette société acéphale et la part de l'induction dans le mécanisme d'adaptation.
