International audience In 2017, artist Emmanuelle Léonard took part in a military expedition in Resolute Bay (Arctic). A military expedition is a collective enterprise in which obedience and discipline prevail, which goes against the freedom of movement of the artist as well as the feeling of belonging to the same community of interest that could unite the artist and the scientist, he becomes from then on like a foreign body embarked on the expedition. En 2017, l’artiste Emmanuelle Léonard a pris part à une expédition militaire dans la baie de Resolute (Arctique). Une expédition militaire est une entreprise collective au sein de laquelle prévalent obéissance et discipline, ce qui va à l’encontre de la liberté de mouvement de l’artiste comme du sentiment d’appartenance à une même communauté d’intérêt qui pourrait réunir l’artiste et le scientifique, il devient dès lors comme un corps étranger embarqué à bord de l’expédition.
