Thought to be native to Europe and Asia, and later brought to America. Blackberries, raspberries and hybrids are a belonging to the genus Rubus diverse group. Three subgenera have plants with edible fruits (Ariel, 2004): 1 Subgenus Eubatus. Blackberries 2 Subgenre Ideaubatus. Subgenus Cylactis Raspberry 3. Frutos Arctic (R. and R. Articus stelletus) It is said that its common name blackberry, comes from its shape, with many thorns, but its scientific name Rubus from the Latin " ruber " meaning red. The blackberry fruit are prized for their color, smell, taste and soft texture. Blackberry (Rubus Eubatus) Rosacea family has a frame shrub with erect stems or end.
