Summary:Namen naše raziskave je bil zasnovati, izvesti in preučiti tematski sklop Slikanica brez besedila pri pouku likovne umetnosti v petem razredu osnovne šole, kjer bi učenci s pomočjo slikanic brez besedila spoznavali njihove elemente oblikovanja in jo tudi sami oblikovali po svoji zamisli. Pri raziskovanju smo kot osnovno raziskovalno metodo uporabili deskriptivno metodo empiričnega pedagoškega raziskovanja s pomočjo študije primera. V raziskavo je bil vključen neslučajnostni vzorec učencev petega razreda ene izmed slovenskih osnovnih šol ter njihova likovna pedagoginja. Podatke smo zbrali z anketnimi vprašalniki za učence pred in po izvedbi tematskega sklopa, intervjujem likovne pedagoginje in analize nastalih slikanic brez besedila. Raziskava je pokazala, da učenci petega razreda, ki so bili vključeni v raziskavo, slikanice brez besedila slabo poznajo, ker se z njimi ne srečujejo več pogosto. Po izvedbi tematskega sklopa je bilo njihovo poznavanje boljše, v večini so tudi izrazili pozitivno stališče do oblikovanega sklopa. Poleg tega so ustvarili lastne slikanice brez besedila v obliki leporella, kjer so v večini upoštevali obravnavane elemente oblikovanja. Na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov smo prišli do ugotovitve, da je bil naš tematski sklop primerno načrtovan in izveden. The aim of our research was to design, implement and study the thematic set of a Wordless Picture book in art classes in the fifth grades of elementary school. The pupils would get to know different design elements with the help of wordless picture books, and later design them according to their own ideas. In the research, the descriptive method of the empirical pedagogical research using the case study, was used as the basic research method. The survey included a random sample of pupils of the fifth grade of one of Slovene primary schools and their art pedagogue. The data was collected via questionnaires for pupils before and after the thematic section, via an interview with the art pedagogue and an analysis of the resulting wordless picture books. The research showed that fifth-grade pupils who were involved in the survey were poorly familiar with wordless picture books because they do not encounter them more often. After the thematic set was carried out, their knowledge improved, the majority also expressed a positive attitude towards the designed set. In addition, they created their own wordless bookbinding’s in the form of leporello, where they included most of the considered design elements. Based on the obtained results, we concluded that our thematic set was appropriately designed and implemented.
