My thesis focuses on two novels: Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding and John Dollar, written by Marianne Wiggins, and does a Marxist analysis of both novels to see if Marx’s theories can really apply to every literary work and explore how Marx’s theories of power relationships in groups apply to both novels.
