description V magistrskem delu so opisana kostno mišična obolenja, ki so najpogostejši vzrok za nastanek invalidnosti. Zaposlene v zdravstvene negi želimo seznaniti, kaj je invalidnost, invalid, in zelo pomembno za zaposlene, kaj je delovni invalid. Nadalje je opisana razvrstitev zavarovancev v kategorije invalidnosti in katere pravice izhajajo iz invalidskega zavarovanja. Metodologija raziskovanja. Podatki o pravicah zaposlenih v zdravstveni negi s poudarkom na pravicah iz naslova invalidnosti so dobljeni z uporabo delno strukturiranega vprašalnika in kvantitativno metodo raziskovanja, ki je potekala na štirih oddelkih v UKC Maribor, in sicer na Oddelku za pljučne bolezni, Oddelku za nevrološke bolezni, Oddelku za otorinolaringologijo, cervikalno in maksilofacialno kirurgijo in Oddelku za nalezljive bolezni in vročinska stanja. Zaposleni anketiranci v zdravstveni negi so bili iz negovalnih enot in specialističnih ambulant. Rezultati. V sami raziskavi je sodelovalo 146 žensk in 6 moških, se pravi, da v poklicu zdravstvene nege še vedno prevladujejo ženske. Med anketiranimi zaposlenimi v zdravstveni negi so prevladovale medicinske sestre ali zdravstveni tehniki v negovalni enoti, diplomirane medicinske sestre v negovalni enoti, nato diplomirane medicinske sestre v specialistični ambulanti, medicinske sestre ali zdravstveni tehniki v specialistični ambulanti in bolničarji oziroma negovalci. Pridobili smo tudi podatke iz Oddelka za kadrovsko-pravne zadeve, in sicer prevalenco invalidnosti vseh zaposlenih v UKC Maribor za 5-letno obdobje. Sklep. V magistrskem delu smo ugotovili, da je vzrok za nastanek delovne invalidnosti in bolečin v ledvenem delu hrbtenice povezan z dvigovanjem bremen mase nad 10 kilogramov. Zaposleni v zdravstveni negi se premalo zavedamo problematike mišično-skeletnih obolenj in pričenjamo s preventivnimi ukrepi takrat, ko se ta že pojavijo. In this master’s thesis we described bone-muscular diseases which are the main reason for the emergence of disabilities. Our goal is to spread the awareness among employees in health care about disability, disabled people and most importantly about disabled workers. Furthermore, we described the classification of insurants in the categories of disabilities and the rights which result from disability insurance. Research methodology. We gained the information about the rights of employees in health care with the emphasis on the rights of disabled people by a partially structured questionnaire and a quantitative research method which was performed in four departments of University Medical Centre Maribor, namely: Department of Respiratory Diseases, Department of Neurological Diseases, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Cervical and Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of Infectious Diseases and Febrile Illnesse. Employed respondents come from nursing units and specialist clinics. The results. 146 women and 6 men participated in the research, which means that women still prevail in nursing profession. Among the respondents in health care prevailed nurses or medical technicians, in nursing units prevailed graduate nurses, then graduate nurses in specialist clinics, nurses or medical technicians in specialist clinics and caregivers. We also gained information from the Department of Human Resources and Legal Affairs, namely the information about prevalence of disability among the employees in University Medical Centre Maribor for the 5-year period. Conclusion. In this master's thesis we found out that that the reason for the emergence of occupational disability and for the emergence of pains in the lumbar spine is connected with lifting the burdens above 10 kilograms. Employees in health care are not enough aware of the problem brought by bone-muscular diseases and start to take preventive measures when these problems already occur.
