Nove tehnologije so prinesle izboljšave sodobnih učnih pripomočkov in tako uporabo navadnih šolskih tabel nadomeščajo interaktivne table. Le-te so sodoben učni pripomoček in njihova integracija prinaša v poučevanje angleškega jezika mnoge novosti in spremembe tako za učence kot za učitelje. Preden učitelji začno uporabljati interaktivno tablo, se morajo sami poprej seznaniti z opremo, računalniškimi programi ter njihovo uporabo. Glavni cilj diplomske naloge je bil raziskati, kakšne so izkušnje in spoznanja učiteljev, ki interaktivno tablo pri poučevanju angleškega jezika uporabljajo redno. Diplomsko delo se deli na teoretični in empirični del. Teoretični del sestoji iz dveh segmentov, ki vključujeta študijo na osnovi obstoječe literature, ki govorita o didaktični uporabnosti interaktivnih tabel in poučevanju sedanjih časov v angleščini. Teoretični del je podprt z empirično raziskavo. Izpeljana je bila na osnovi intervjujev osnovnošolskih in srednješolskih učiteljev, ki imajo z uporabo interaktivne table daljše izkušnje. Raziskava je pokazala, da je priprava in izvedba učne ure preko interaktivne table za večje število učencev možna ter uporaba multimedijski virov večja kot prej. Prav tako se je izkazalo, da je interaktivna tabla uporaben pripomoček pri poučevanju angleških sedanjih časov. New technologies have improved modern teaching aids and replaced the use of regular school boards with interactive whiteboards. They present a modern teaching aid and its integration in English language teaching brings along various novelties and changes for both, the students and the teachers. Familiarization with the equipment, computer software and its use, need to be done by the teachers before the interactive whiteboard can be used. The main purpose of this graduation thesis was to research what experiences and findings teachers, who use the interactive whiteboard in English language teaching regularly, encounter. The thesis consists of the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is divided into two segments and includes the study of the existing literature on the didactic usefulness of interactive whiteboards in teaching English present tenses. The theoretical part is supported by empirical research. It was conducted by means of interviews of primary and secondary school teachers who have long time experience with the use of the interactive whiteboard. Our research has confirmed two hypotheses: that lessons for a large number of students can be planned and conducted with the interactive whiteboard and that a wider variety of multimedia sources are being used in teaching now than in the past. Furthermore, the interactive whiteboard has also proved to be a useful aid to teach English present tenses.
