description V diplomskem delu o problemu vrstniškega preganjanja smo obravnavali nasilje, s poudarkom na nasilju nad mladimi, pri katerem smo izpostavili problem vrstniškega preganjanja (bullyinga). Otroci so velikokrat žrtve nasilja tudi s strani vrstnikov, pogosto pa to nasilje ostane prikrito, ker žrtve, kot tudi opazovalci, zaradi različnih razlogov ne spregovorijo o tem. Vrstniškemu preganjanju pa dajejo strokovnjaki v zadnjem času vedno več poudarka. Za zbiranje podatkov smo uporabili domačo literaturo. Kot instrument raziskovanja smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik zaprtega tipa, ki je zajemal 22 vprašanj. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 100 naključno izbranih študentov rednega in izrednega študija FZV UM. Raziskali smo, ali študenti FZV UM vedo, kaj je vrstniško preganjanje, kakšno je njihovo stališče in izkušnje, ter kje bi po njihovem mnenju morali reševati problem vrstniškega preganjanja. Prav tako nas je zanimalo, ali so bili kdaj sami udeleženi pri vrstniškem preganjanju, bodisi kot žrtev, nasilnež ali samo kot opazovalec in kako so ukrepali. Prišli smo do ugotovitve, da je večina študentov že slišala za vrstniško preganjanje, da so bili nekateri v vlogi žrtve, majhen odstotek tudi nasilneži, več kot polovica anketiranih je bila priča vrstniškemu preganjanju, približno tretjina le teh pa je kakorkoli ukrepala. Ugotovili smo, da študenti ocenjujejo, da bi se problem vrstniškega preganjanja moral reševati predvsem v šolah in v družini. Za prepoznavnost, preprečevanje oziroma vsaj zmanjšanje nasilnih dejanj med otroci bo potrebno storiti še veliko. Zelo pomembni na poti do uspeha sta predvsem šola oziroma zaposleni v šoli in seveda starši, ki otroka vzgajajo, in od katerih otrok v veliki meri prevzema takšne in drugačne vzorce vedenja že zelo zgodaj v otroštvu. In diploma thesis about the problem of violence among peers we discuss violence with a focus on violence between young people where we exposed the issue of violence among young people (bullying). Children are often victims of violence caused by their peers, but frequently this violence remains hidden because the victims, as well as observers, for various reasons, do not talk about it. Recently, bullying is given more emphasis by the experts. For collecting data we used domestic literature. As an instrument of research we used closed type questionnaire, which included 22 questions. The research included 100 randomly selected students of Faculty of Health Sciences. We investigated whether the students of Faculty of Health Sciences know, what bullying is, what is their position and experience and where in their opinion the effort to solve the problem of peer bullying should take place. We also questioned whether they were ever involved in bullying either as a victim bully or just as an observer and how they responded. We came to conclusion that most students have heard of bullying some of them as victims, a small percentage as bullies, and more than half of respondents had witnessed the persecution of the peer, but only about a third of them responded to it. We also found out that students believe the schools and home are the places where the most effort to solve the problem of bullying should be taken. Much effort is still needed to achieve recognition, prevention or at least reduction of bullying. In order to succeed, the school, its professionals and mostly the parents, who raise a child, and from whom the children assume the patterns of behavior in early childhood are of great importance.
