Summary:Bolezni srca in ožilja sta postale globalna vzroka smrti in invalidnosti, zato je za ljudi pomembno, da poznajo in se zavedajo resne ogroženosti, ki ga potegne za seboj sodobno življenje in nezdrav način življenja. V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili teoretični del z opisi aktualnih bolezni srca in ožilja, dejavnike tveganja, posledice, predvsem pa preventivo, kako se izognemo nevarnostim za srce in ožilje. Zajeta je tudi problematika sodobnega časa in vpliv na ljudi. V raziskovalnem delu smo predstavili raziskavo med naključnimi ljudmi. Izvedli smo jo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika s tem namenom, da ugotovimo, kako dobro so osveščeni o bolezni srca in ožilja, koliko upoštevajo priporočen zdrav način življenja za preprečevanje bolezni srca in ožilja. Za zmanjšanje obolevnosti in umrljivosti zaradi srčno žilnih-bolezni je zelo pomembna preventiva v obliki osveščanja ljudi in vpliv na prehrambeno industrijo. Raziskava je pokazala, da ljudje kljub veliki osveščenosti dobijo premalo informacij o bolezni srca in ožilja in njihovih posledicah. Kar se kaže tudi v njihovem načinu življenja. Vse preveč ljudi se nepravilno prehranjuje. Problematika se skriva v pomanjkanju časa za pravilno sestavo jedilnikov in zasvojenost s preveliko količino hrane, kar ima za posledico da kar polovica ljudi trpi za preveliko telesno težo. Vse preveč ljudi zanemarja tudi redno telesno aktivnost. Šport in telesna vadba sta ključna za zdravo in dolgo življenje, poudarjajo zdravstveni strokovnjaki po vsem svetu. Ljudje se ne gibljejo toliko, kot je treba. Dejstvo je, da smo premalo telesno dejavni v prostem času, prav tako pa vse več zaposlenih svoje delo opravlja sede. Od nas samih je odvisno, ali bomo zdravje srca in ožilja varovali in utrjevali. Življenjski slog si izbiramo sami - zato moramo vedeti, kaj koristi in kaj škoduje, in to upoštevati v vsakdanjem življenju. Ne le zaradi sebe, ampak tudi zaradi svojih otrok in vnukov, ki jih vzgajamo le z lastnim zgledom. Spremembe nezdravih navad pa so v življenju smiselne kadarkoli. Cardiovascular diseases have become a global cause of death and disability, and so it is important for people to know and be aware of the serious threat of modern life and unhealthy lifestyle. In the theoretical part of our thesis we described the current cardiovascular diseases, risk factors, consequences, and especially the prevention how to avoid threats to the cardiovascular system. Furthermore, we focused our attention on problems of modern life and its impact on people. In the empirical part we focused on the research where a random sample of people was taken. We were interested to know how well people are familiar with cardiovascular diseases and how much they consider the recommended healthy lifestyle to prevent cardiovascular diseases. In order to reduce morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases it is very important to make people aware of its dangers and the impact of food industry. The research has revealed that people despite the great awareness receive too little information about cardiovascular diseases and their consequences and that is reflected in their lifestyle. Too many people are not eating healthy and the main reasons are: the lack of time for the proper composition of menu and addiction to the excessive amount of food. The consequence of this is that half of people are overweight. Regular physical activity is an important factor in maintaining a healthy body weight but too many people are neglecting it. The fact is that we are not engaged in leisure-time physical activity enough, but also more and more employees are sitting while doing their work. With respect to our well-being we have to take care for our cardiovascular health. We choose our own lifestyle – for this reason we need to know the benefits and risks to our health and consider this in everyday life. Not only for ourselves, but also for our children and grandchildren because we want to set a good example for them. It makes sense to look at our unhealthy habits and be willing to change them to healthy ones.
