Power budget improvement of symmetric 40 Gb/s TWDM based PON2 system utilizing DMLs and DCF technique
In this paper, we propose to use optical dispersion compensation based on the widely deployed compensating fiber (DCF) employing directly modulated lasers (DMLs) to improve the power budget in a symmetric 40 Gb/s time and wavelength division multiplexed-passive optical network (TWDM-PON) systems.
