Afterwards examines the two main aspects which attract the China’s attention: natural resources exploration and opening new trade maritime routes. Later on stresses the main Chinese acts to become an important player in the Arctic relations, in its bilateral and multilateral actions. At last, presents the main guidelines of the Chinese Arctic Policy. O presente artigo analisa a atual situação política-estratégica do Ártico, destacando de maneira especial os interesses da China na região. Primeiramente, o trabalho apresenta o contexto geográfico-político do polo norte no cenário atual das relações internacionais. Em seguida, examina os dois principais aspectos que atraem a atenção dos chineses na região: a exploração dos recursos minerais e a abertura de novas rotas comerciais marítimas. Posteriormente, ressalta as principais ações chinesas para se inserir com ator relevante nas relações árticas, tanto de atuação bilateral como multilateral. Por fim, apresenta as linhas gerais da política ártica chinesa.
