| Summary: | O trabalho tem como objetivo geral entender como o advento das moedas digitais pelos bancos centrais irá impactar no poder financeiro do dólar. Primeiramente, foi necessário saber como esta hegemonia americana é entendida em níveis internacionais. Após, foi feita uma contextualização das inovações recentes que estão dominando o fluxo de meios de pagamentos do sistema monetário internacional, que possibilitaram e foram a principal influência para que os bancos centrais iniciassem estudos para suas moedas no formato digital. Esta nova forma da moeda emitida pelo banco central permite que se abram novos arranjos dentro do sistema já conhecido, e que as primeiras nações que coloquem em prática esse novo instrumento ocupem espaço no qual o dólar não estará inserido ou que se abra possibilidade de uma alternativa ao sistema centrado no dólar. The general objective of the work is to understand how the advent of digital currencies by central banks will impact the financial power of the dollar. In a first moment it was necessary to know how the American hegemony is understood internationally. Afterwards a contextualization was made of the recent innovations that are dominating the flow of means of payment in the international monetary system, which enabled the central banks to and were the main influence for central banks to start studies for their currencies in digital format. This new form of currency issued by the central bank allows new arrangements to be opened within the already known system, and for the first nations that put this new instrument into practice to occupy a space in which the dollar will not be inserted or to open up the possibility of an alternative to the dollar-centered system.
