Map shows a compass rose, rhumb lines and a sailing vessel with the course travelled by Christopher Columbus indicated by a dotted line. Source of map from historical note below cartouche indicating that Prince Madoc of North Wales was the original discoverer of America, with a reference to page 190 of work containing the map.
