Summary: | International audience The Sub-Millimeter Radiometer (SMR) instrument aboard the Odin satellite has been measuring chlorine monoxide (ClO) within the frequency band 501.18-501.58 GHz in the entire stratosphere by using limb sounding for about 2 years. Studies specifically dedicated to chlorine activation during the 2001-2002 arctic winter and the 2002 antarctic winter are presented. Comparisons with the three-dimensional chemical transport model REPROBUS at the same location and time of the SMR measurements will be shown. |
