Tra sciamani e bakhshi: tra l'estatica e l'estetica

Nello sfaccettato contesto di questo volume dedicato allo sciamanesimo, il mio articolo affronta il tema in senso musicologico e si apre con alcune considerazioni generali sul tempo e sul ritmo che possono essere valide per molte tradizioni sciamaniche diffuse sul pianeta. Da queste considerazioni generali mi concentro su alcuni rituali detti kamlanie, diffusi tra gli Nganasan in area siberiana, per poi passare ai bakhshı, figure composite tra sciamani, guaritori e cantori epici che operano (operavano?) nella vasta area geo-culturale centroasiatica; mi dedico poi ad uno strumento, la viella qıl qobuz, e sul genere musicale dei küi che risuona nell’attuale Kazakhstan e le cui origini si ascrivono ai bakhshı. Dall’operazione di salvataggio e preservazione dei küi che si ebbe tra la fine del XIX e gli inizi del XX secolo, passo ad alcune operazioni analoghe che permisero di preservare repertori orali legati a particolari tradizioni spirituali nelle quali sono impliciti stati “altri”. Concludo con alcuni casi di slittamento tra estatica ed estetica. In the multifaceted context of this volume dedicated to Shamanism, my article addresses the theme in a musicological sense and opens with some general considerations on Time and Rhythm that can be valid for many shamanic traditions spread on the planet. From these general considerations I focus on a specific ritual called kamlanie among the Nganasans in the Siberian area, and then I move on to bakhshı, figures composite between shamans, healers and epic singers who operate (operated?) in the vast Central Asian geo-cultural area. I focus, then, on a single musical instrument, the fiddle qıl qobuz, and on the musical genre of the küi that resonates in present-day Kazakhstan and whose origins are ascribed to bakhshı.
