Degree work to design a children's Centre for children with physical disabilities, specializing in the care and treatment of infants, in order to comply with requirements of first-need response to optimal operation of its facilities to both architectural and personal levels, thereby providing rehabilitation, treatment and special education techniques and appropriate equipment to facilitate a correct development of the process of recovery of children. The building, which is going to design, is currently the center of Muscular Dystrophy "Juan Carlo Vela", located in the North of the city of Quito, the Seymour Island Street and Avenue a Rio Coca, is implanted in an area of 945 m 2, and consists of 5 floors and 1 basement. The project will be limited to the intervention of the ground floor of 683. 75 m 2, first floor 453.98 m2, second floor 453.98 m2. A total area of 1591.71 m2. "LEGO" is the concept chosen to make the children's Centre, the same that will be reflected in the spaces both exterior and Interior, with the management of a range of strong colors, natural lighting, design of floors and ceilings, making use of the knowledge acquired in the Interior architecture, the space to design respond to different needs and merging the beneficiaries sensory elements succeeding through the interference of the existing building a construction with greater dynamism, contributing in the color, lighting, and furniture to be used. This architectural project is generated by the lack of centers with facilities adapted to the needs of infants in special conditions. Although the Ecuadorian society has made great strides in what it refers to social inclusion, care and education of children, is why the project is intended to cover the need for a center of this type. Thus a project that contributes to society, using the concepts acquired through an optimal application of interior architecture, and so gives welfare to users. El trabajo de titulación pretende diseñar un Centro Infantil para niños con discapacidad física, especializada en el cuidado y tratamiento de los infantes, con el fin de cumplir con requerimientos de primera necesidad respondiendo así a un óptimo funcionamiento de sus instalaciones a nivel tanto arquitectónico como personal, ofreciendo así rehabilitación, tratamiento y formación educativa especial con técnicas y equipamientos adecuados que faciliten un correcto desarrollo del proceso de recuperación de los niños. La edificación en la cual se va a diseñar es actualmente el Centro de Distrofia Muscular “Juan Carlos Vela”, ubicado en el Norte de la ciudad de Quito, entre la Calle Isla Seymour y la Avenida Rio Coca, está implantado en un terreno de 945m2, consta de 5 pisos y 1 subsuelo. El proyecto se limitará a la intervención de la Planta Baja de 683.75m2, Primer Piso de 453.98 m2, y Segundo Piso de 453.98 m2. Un total de área de 1591.71 m2. “LEGO” es el concepto escogido para realizar el Centro Infantil, el mismo que se verá reflejado en los espacios tanto exteriores como interiores, con el manejo de una gama de colores fuertes, iluminación natural, diseños de pisos y cielos rasos, haciendo uso de los conocimientos adquiridos en cuanto a la Arquitectura Interior, lo espacios a diseñar responderán a las distintas necesidades y fusionen los elementos sensoriales de los beneficiarios, lográndolo mediante la injerencia del edificio existente una edificación con mayor dinamismo, aportando en la cromática, iluminación, y el mobiliario a emplearse. Este proyecto arquitectónico se genera por la falta de centros que cuenten con instalaciones adaptadas a todas las necesidades de los infantes de condiciones especiales. Aunque la sociedad ecuatoriana ha dado grandes pasos en lo que se refiere a inclusión social, cuidado y educación de los niños, es por este motivo que el proyecto pretende cubrir la necesidad de un centro de esta tipología. Logrando así un proyecto que aporte con la sociedad, utilizando los conceptos adquiridos mediante una óptima aplicación de la arquitectura interior, y así dar bienestar a los usuarios.
