Subterranean rodents belong to this group. Thesespecies have an impact on the vegetation the microtopographicalfeatures of the soil and bulk density, they can change the structure,organic matter and moisture content of the soil they reduce theproportion of nitrogen. The fossorial rodents occur almost all overthe world (expect Australia and Antarctica).These herbivorous species burrow tunnels under the groundand with this they have an impact on the floral diversity anddominance relations, the structure and composition of theassociation, the amount of biomass production as well as thedistribution of plants and seeds. They can take effect directly withconsumption of plants and indirectly with affect the plant-soilrelations.At the basis of the results the activity of the subterranean rodentsenhanced the diversity in most of the cases (of course there werealso negative results and some researcher didn't find anydifferences between the mounds and the plots with no mounds).Their effect on the biomass was usually negative but they changedthe species composition of their habitat at all times. A cikkben földalatti életmódot folytató kisemlősöktevékenységének hatását szeretnénk elemezni a vegetációra,felhasználva több taxon vizsgálata kapcsán különbözővegetációtípusokban és klímaövezetben kapott eredményeket. Azirodalmi adatok mellett saját kutatási eredmények is helyet kapnaka cikkben.Az ökoszisztéma-mérnök fajok jellegzetessége, amellett, hogybefolyásolják az élőhelyük biotikus és abiotikus viszonyait, újélőhelyeket is létrehoznak. Ezen fajok közé tartoznak a földalattiéletmódot folytató rágcsálók is, amelyek, mivel szinte az egészvilágon előfordulnak (kivéve Ausztráliát és az Antarktiszt), jelentősszerepet játszanak a különböző ökoszisztémák működésében.A növényevő, ...
