The questions of territorial and societal analysis, the building of socioeconomic geodatabases is considering since the 1960s as a strategic core for the States and enterprises giving advantages. The recent progress in geo-computing allows to be modelling at the large scales and different geographic levels the human and territorial dynamics combined with cultural and environmental data, and figure-out the possible futures. Several examples based on research conducted in Lithuania, the Siberian Arctic, and France will illustrate the advances and issues.
