ACBAR observes from the 2m Viper telescope at the South Pole and has just concluded its second year of CMB mapping observations. In this talk we will discuss the instrument design and performance as well as preliminary results from a blind survey for massive clusters of galaxies using the SZ effect. ACBAR is funded by the Center for Astrophysical Research in Antarctica (CARA), an NSF Science and Technology Center.
