This issue of the International Journal of Cultural Studies marks the beginning of its second decade of publication. Since the first issue was published in 1998, we have published about two million freshly minted words — nearly 250 articles on culture, media and everyday life in every continent including Antarctica. John Frow has described the journal as follows: `The International Journal of Cultural Studies is one of the most interesting and innovative showcases of recent work in cultural studies.
