The suggested programme will be a holistic approach of education which consists of both academic elements of Antarctica as well as adventurous elements aiming at personal and social developments. The programme will also make a strong emphasis on the leadership development through a personal interaction with the challenging conditions in this remote continent. This study consists of two parts: First part is a brief overview of the programme with clear explanation on the format of the programme and the key elements and activities that will be carried out during the trip. A suggestion on the schedule and the learning activities of the programme before, during and after the programme will also be listed. Second part of this paper is a feasibility assessment of the programme using the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis approach. This assessment will be based on the situation of HKU and the current education reform proposed by the Hong Kong Education Department. The current situation of the Hong Kong economy will also be considered as a crucial component of our discussion. It is hope that this assessment will be use as a reference for the future development of the Adventure Education Programme (AEP) of the Institute of Human Performance (IHP) of HKU. It may also be considered as a preliminary investigation on the possibility of putting our leadership education programmes on a higher profile in conjunction to the Education Reform of the Tertiary Education in Hong Kong.
