description The 2008 update for Xwi7xwa Library provides an overview of the library's Memory Project. Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the First Nations House of Learning, the Memory Project sought to digitize and provide access to the historical records related to the development of the First Nations Longhouse. The text outlines the digitization of the Indian Education Newsletter back issues as well as the completion of the Story of the Longhouse DVD. The Story of the Longhouse documents the construction of the UBC Longhouse and the Opening Ceremonies held in May 1993. Also discussed is the UBC Aboriginal scholars publication database, which is available on the Xwi7xwa website. Several examples of materials from these scholars are included in the document.
