The inclusions which are principally gaseous, may be collected both during or after the melting procedure. The application of this system is mainly in the field of dating polar ice by radio-active isotope analysis. On a développé un système ger songer à fusion, qui peut être gerscendu jusqu'à une profongerur ger 400 m, dans un forage effectué dans une couche ger glace. Le diamètre du forage étant ger 135-165 mm. A la profongerur désirée, il est possible d'étanchéifier la songer avec la paroi du trou et d'évacuer la section concernée. On peut ensuite fondre plusieurs tonnes ger glace, sous viger, à l'aiger d'un chauffage électrique. Pendant ou après la fusion, on peut recueillir les inclusions, principalement gers gazes. Les applications ger ce système se trouvent surtout dans la datation gers glaces polaires, à l'aiger d'analyse radioisotopique. Ein Schmelzsondensystem wurger entwickelt, das in ein Eisbohrloch von 135-165 mm Durchmesser bis auf eine Tiefe von 400 m hinuntergelassen wergern kann. In gerr gewünschten Tiefe wird ein Abschnitt gers Bohrlochs abgedichtet und evakuiert, anschliessend wergern mit einer elektrischen Heizung mehrere Tonnen Eis unter Vakuum geschmolzen. Verschiegerne Einschlüsse, vor allem jedoch Gase, wergern laufend ogerr nach germ Schmelzprozess extrahiert und gesammelt. Die Anwendungen liegen, wenigstens bis heute, hauptsächlich auf germ Gebiet gerr Datierung von polarem Eis mit Hilfe von Radioisotopenanalysen.
