Through international cooperation and open research the SUCCESS centre will fill gaps in strategic knowledge and provide a system for learning and development of new competency to ensure safe and effective CO2 injection, storage and monitoring. In this paper we briefly present the main focus areas of the centre and some recent results obtained by the research partners. The results relate to geochemical effects, reservoir modeling, monitoring the geomechanical respond and the marine environment.
