Abstract: The presence of 'carinoportulae' was suggested to be diagnostic for the Order Orthoseirales and Family Orthoseiraceae. Members of this group have been assigned to a single genus, Orthoseira Thwaites, which was diagnosed by also lacking rimoportulae. The genus Cavernosa Stidolph i...
