Tsiigehtchic steppe bison skull and horns

This steppe bison skull is at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife, NWT. The bison skeleton with skin, hair and flesh attached was found by Shane Van Loon in 2007 emerging from an eroding riverbank. The skull is 36,500 years old.
