Spidberg's text was reissued, along with an introductory article by Johann Kanold, in Bautzen in 1728. Kanold's article is included as an appendix here. Another appendix is a 'letter to the editor' of the Copenhagen weekly, Nye Tidender om lærde og curieuse Sager, which Spidberg wrote in 1738. The present volume is introduced by a biographical essay and summary of contents by Per Pippin Aspaas from UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
