The general objective of this research is to identify the zoonotic gastrointestinal parasites of dogs Canis lupus familiaris present in the playgrounds of the Ángel Polibio Chávez Guaranda parish. For this study, 186 samples of canine feces were collected in 4 playgrounds of the parish, which was analyzed with the coproparasitic technique of flotation with Sheather's supersaturated solution, the presence of gastrointestinal nematodes (66.7%), Cestodes (1, 1%) and (32.3%) of cases with a negative result for parasites. Through the surveys carried out, it was determined that there is no biosanitary control of both the canton authorities and the people who use these places of recreation with their pets. It is concluded that there is the presence of parasites such as Toxocara canis (3%), Toxocara leonina (0.5%), Ancylostoma caninum (27.4%), Uncinaria stenocephala (30.8%), Strongyloides stercoralis (37.3 %), and Dipylidium caninum (1%). A biosanitary diagnosis is established with the surveys carried out and it is deduced that there is a parasitic load in the canines that is very possible due to stray dogs or because there is no correct deworming in canines. The results of the investigation were socialized on the municipal channel Guaranda TV, where this analysis helps society to prevent future zoonotic diseases and contributes to improving animal welfare and public health of the society that makes use of playgrounds.
