description | This research work aims to analyze the polymeric and resinous materials used in CAD CAM. It was conducted through a systematic review under PRISMA standards and carried out in 4 databases: Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, and PubMed, in addition to a manual search of relevant studies that evaluated flexural strength of conventionally manufactured materials. Eight hundred twenty-four studies were identified, discarding duplicates using Mendeley and selecting them by title and abstract but only 30 experimental in vitro studies were selected. The average resistance to bending and fracture of the resinous and polymeric materials, which were presented in the form of crowns, bridges, and bars in the different studies, was obtained. The polymeric and resinous materials exhibited fracture resistance of 1500 N, considering that the maximum fracture forces in the posterior sector are 900 N and reach up to 2000 N during chewing. The materials were subjected to a three-point bending test to determine the bending resistance of the resin and polymer blocks, considering that they must present a minimum resistance of 50 Mpa. The bending test results on the materials evaluated showed values greater than 50 Mpa, deducing that the resinous and polymeric materials are within the acceptable range for the manufacture of fixed prostheses. The most used materials were Cara Smart, Ceramill TEMP, TempSmart (Zahnfabrik GC), Vita Enamic For Kavo Artica (KAVO DETAL), Lava ultimate, Protemp 4, (3M ESPE), Brilliant críos (Coltene), polymethacrylates (PMMA) Telio CAD (Ivoclar Vivadent), due to its high resistance to bending, its homogeneous and highly reticulated structure. |
